Skynara/Legends
Skynara was an astronomical object[3] located in the Skynara system, a part of the Outer Rim Territories' Skine sector.[1] It was situated at the endpoint of the hyperlane known as the Five Veils Route.[3]
The space surrounding Skynara was explored at some point between 1000 BBY and 25 BBY.[2] During the Galactic Civil War, the luxury yacht Veil of Skynara, which carried the famous and valuable Balved Sculpture of the same name aboard, ran cruises and shorter trips along the Five Veils Route.[3]
The population of the Skynara system around 25 ABY numbered between 1 million and 10 million. By 137 ABY, Skynara, which had been incorporated into the territory controlled by Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire, also lay within the area of influence of the Galactic Alliance Remnant, a faction formed from the Galactic Alliance forces that had refused to surrender to the Fel Empire at the end of the Sith–Imperial War.[2]
Behind the scenes
Skynara was first mentioned in Galaxy Guide 9: Fragments from the Rim, a 1993 sourcebook written by Simon Smith and Eric S. Trautmann for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Skynara system, and therefore the celestial body itself, in grid square P-19.[2]
