The Kauronians were a sentient species[1] native to the planet Kauron in the Meram sector of the Outer Rim Territories.[2][3] In 0 BBY, a number of Kauronian bounty hunters were present on Tatooine and were witnessed by Rodian bounty hunter Greedo entering Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina in Mos Eisley.[1]

Behind the scenes

Tom and Martha Veitch created the Kauronians for the short story A Hunter's Fate: Greedo's Tale, published by Bantam Spectra in 1995 as part of the anthology Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina. This story was later illustrated as the webstrip A Hunter's Fate: Greedo's Tale; however, no unidentified alien species appear in the background of the cantina scenes.
