"The Contact" was a short story written by Charlene Newcomb and Rich Handley and illustrated by Steve Bryant. Intended as a sequel to the stories "Crimson Bounty," "A Certain Point of View," and "Crimson Jailbreak," it was written for the Star Wars Adventure Journal, presumably for the 18th issue, but never made it in due to West End Games losing its license to Star Wars and going out of business shortly thereafter. It was later released to the Internet.
