Hoska was a commentator on Gundark's Gear Datalog during the early years of the New Republic. Hoska once came across a group of pirates based on Borleias who coated the walls of their fortress with a resin created by a local form of wildlife. The resin was slick, and served as a deterrent to anyone attempting to breach the base using Tube-Launched Grapples.[1]
