The song was featured on the album of the same name, which was available in the galaxy by the time period between the years 0 ABY and 4 ABY.[1] The song was approved by the Imperial Board of Culture, and it was considered one of the band's hits.
"Totally Patriotic" was later parodied by the anti-Imperial group Red Shift Limit, who also released a song called "Totally Patriotic" on their own album with the same name and gave the song a completely different meaning. Red Shift Limit's version was banned by the Imperial Board of Culture.
