The ZX miniature flame projector (also called a flamethrower gauntlet) was a personal, concealed, portable incendiary weapon produced by Czerka Corporation.
When triggered, the ZX produced a cone of fire five meters long and one meter in diameter. A corded fuel line connected to a backpack canister which held enough fuel for three minutes of operation . The flamethrower itself was powered by a source not located on the wrist.
The unit was made famous by bounty hunter Boba Fett. They housed their flame projectors on their left wrist gauntlets below their BlasTech Dur-24 wrist laser on their Mandalorian armor. The weapon was connected to the fuel tank in their Mitrinomon Z-6 jetpacks with reinforced cords.
In the footsteps of Jango Fett, many Mandalorian Supercommandos and Mandalorian Protectors had similar flamethrowers installed on their armors.
