The CL-3 Droid Command Link was a hands-free device that incorporated all the features of a normal datapad — information could be displayed via a holographic eyepiece, as well as an audio unit. The unit could also wirelessly link to a droid, and command it for up to a range of a kilometer. Information from the droid, including direct visual feeds, could be put up on the eyepiece. While originally intended for use with droids that used high density languages, these units were also used in military operations to link, coordinate, and command surveillance droids.
