Jorallan opals were favored by raiders and pirates, along with other precious stones, as plunder for financial and aesthetic reasons.[1] A mythra chain necklace with 12 Jorallan opals, totalling 36 carats, was among the treasure in the cargo pod of the Emperor's Will when captured by the Far Orbit in 0 ABY.[2]
