The Alpheridians were a sentient species,[2] native to the planet Alpheridies in the Expansion Region. The species shared their homeworld with the Miraluka species,[1] who immigrated en masse to the planet several thousand years before the Great Sith War after their original homeworld experienced geophysical and geo-chemical instability.[3] By the time of the Great Sith War in 4000 BBY, the Alpheridians constituted seven per cent of the planet's population, with the Miraluka making up 90 per cent.[1] In 0 BBY, a number of Alpheridian bounty hunters were present on Tatooine. The Rodian bounty hunter Greedo witnessed a number of them enter Chalmun's Cantina in Mos Eisley.[2]
Behind the scenes
The Alpheridians were created by Tom and Martha Veitch for the short story A Hunter's Fate: Greedo's Tale, published by Bantam Spectra in 1995 as part of the anthology Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina.
