A dianoga emerging from a toilet.

A toilet was a fixture found in refreshers, used for the disposal of bodily wastes. Toilet paper was used to maintain personal hygiene.[1]

Dianogas were sometimes known to live in and crawl out of a toilet.[2]

Medical droids were sometimes reprogrammed to work as toilet cleaners in the military.[3]

Behind the scenes

An Imperial Army pilot on the toilet in Robot Chicken.

In Robot Chicken: Star Wars, an AT-AT pilot is seen using a toilet in Blizzard 4, where Luke Skywalker throws explosives into at the Battle of Hoth.

In a comic strip appearing in MAD magazine's "A MAD look at Star Wars," Luke Skywalker is directed to the lavatory in Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina, where he finds a bewildering array of urinals designed for various aliens' physiology.
