Indigestion was a common complaint among many species, which frequently consisted of an unsettled or uncooperative digestive tract. Although usually considered undesirable, in some cases it proved life-saving, namely when Zorba Desilijic Tiure was rejected by the Sarlacc.

Behind the scenes

"What is indigestion? Who is Einstein? Artoo, really? Before you ask me who is H.G. Wells, I will help your education with a simple explanation of bells."
C-3PO introducing the song "Bells, Bells, Bells" to R2-D2[1]

The 2002 game Star Wars: Bounty Hunter established that Gardulla Besadii the Elder was eaten by her krayt dragon in 32 BBY. However, the 2010 episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars "Hunt for Ziro" showed Gardulla alive well into the Clone Wars, more than ten years later. Leland Chee later established that the krayt dragon found her "indigestible."[2]
