Ammonia (NH3)[1] was a gas which some beings, such as Arcona and the breathing Gand subspecies, needed to breathe in order to survive. Cona's atmosphere contained high levels of ammonia, which could be crystallized into solid dactyl. Ammonia-breathing Gand bounty hunter Zuckuss was known for using ammonia bombs that were toxic to most oxygen-breathers.
A competition-sized swimming pool that contained ammonia and mercury was located on the Lido Deck of the Galaxy Tours luxury liner, the Kuari Princess.[1]
Ammonia snowflakes were the primary make up of the highest clouds in Yavin's atmosphere.[2]
