Nudj were swamp lizards native to the swamps of Dagobah. They were tree-nesting reptiles, favoring trees located in moist caves and marshes. The creatures were extremely docile despite their outward appearance. They were responsive to Force energy.
Behind the scenes
The Nudj creature shows significant resemblance to an actual species found on Earth. They look like relatives of Earth lizards, because a real lizard was used to portray the species in the movie.
