The Fia (singular, Fian) were a sentient species native to Galantos[2] and adapted to the environment by building groundquake-proof buildings made of the rich ores and minerals mined on the planet. A peaceful species, the Fia communicated through expressive hand and arm gestures, and referred to the Koornacht Cluster as "The Multitude."
During the Black Fleet Crisis, the Fia were threatened by the Yevetha but defended by the New Republic Defense Force. After the crisis, the Fia joined the New Republic.
Brabe and Jobath Knox were two famous Fians.
