The Arkanian Renegades were a group of geneticists on Arkania who attempted to overthrow the planet's government in 50 BBY. They objected to the systematic alteration of the Yaka species by means of involuntary cybernetic implants, and built a legendary army of cyborgs almost from scratch to defeat the Dominion. They were defeated but some of their creations—Gorm the Dissolver among them—lived on.
