Cargo barges were spaceships used to transport large amounts of goods.
History
Thirteen thousand cargo barges served as support craft for the Death Star I, each equipped with two twin laser cannons. Specific classes included the Eliall-class cargo barge and the Nyubba-class cargo barge driver. Cargo barges also orbited Coruscant in 3 ABY, under which members of Rogue Squadron hid their X-wing starfighters immediately prior to the Battle over Coruscant.
