SD-9 battle droids

The SD-series was a battle droid series produced by Balmorran Arms.

History

The droids were used by the Galactic Republic and the Galactic Empire.

They gained notoriety during the Battle of Balmorra after the second death of the reborn Emperor Palpatine. Amidst the chaos of the Galactic Civil War, the Balmorrans were able to secretly design the superior SD-10 series and the X-1 Viper which outmatched the Empire's SD-9 battle droids and their Shadow Droids, bringing the battle to a draw. The reason the SD-10's were superior to the SD-9's was due to them being programmed with the latter's tactics.
