The A-9x thrust engine was a powerful starfighter engine unit used on the A-9 Vigilance interceptor. Each engine was as long as the A-9 Vigilance spaceframe[1] and had it's own, self-contained power generator. A pair of A-9x units were capable of propelling a Vigilance fighter to velocities greater than that of a TIE interceptor.
