"I am Emtrey, human-cyborg relations and regulations with a military specialty. I am fluent in over six million languages and familiar with an equivalent number of current and historical military doctrines, regulations, honor codes, and protocols."
―M-3PO[1]
An M-3PO military protocol droid

Military protocol droids,[1] also known as protocol and regulations droids,[2] were a subclass of protocol droid designed for military applications.[3] Manufactured by Cybot Galactica, the M-3PO military protocol droid, a variant of the 3PO-series protocol droid, was an example of such a droid.[3]

IMP-22 was an Imperial military protocol droid programmed in politics and warfare, which made it a valuable advisor.[4] The military protocol droid M-3PO served as the quartermaster of Rogue Squadron.[1]
