A courier droid, delivery droid, message droid, or messenger droid was a droid designed to deliver information or packages to a designated recipient. Courier droids that worked for NewsNets were often referred to as newsdroids. If the designated recipient was not available, certain of these droids were authorized to deliver the message to an authorized representative, provided that representative could provide the password.
