Sonic whistle

A sonic whistle was a device that when blown into would produce a considerably loud noise.

History

Stormtrooper sergeants at the elite Academy of Carida would typically use sonic whistles to awaken Imperial Army cadets during reveille. The cadet Davin Felth personally found the whistle's produced sound to be a harsh method to be waken up by, and quickly trained himself to rise a half hour before his sergeant used the device each morning.
