The XXt-26 S-thread tracker was a homing beacon manufactured by Neuro-Saav Technologies.
Technology
Its narrow-beam hyperspace transponder signal was configured to blend into the "background noise" caused by drive emissions, making it virtually undetectable except for dedicated scanners.
History
IG-88B hid two of these scanners aboard Boba Fett's Slave I. IG-88C and IG-88D tracked the ship to Tatooine and sought to steal the carbonite-encased Han Solo, but Fett outsmarted the assassin droids and claimed Jabba the Hutt's bounty on Solo.
