'''Syp''' was a woody plant native to the swampy, high-gravity planet of [[Ossel II]]. Prized for its resiliency, syp wood was the only trade good of note on Ossel II, other than the native [[Ossan]] people. Traders who came to Ossel II to trade for syp found that they could only acquire it by agreeing to let an Ossan sign on as a crew member. This was the only trade the Ossan found acceptable.
