'''Janwuine-jika''' was a ceremony of the [[Gand/Legends|Gand]] [[Species/Legends|species]]. It conferred upon the species' most [[Janwuine|famous and successful]] members a sort of folk-hero status, which included the right to refer to themselves in the first-person and to have their mate selected by the race as a whole. The ceremony could also be used to simultaneously grant someone the position of [[Findsman/Legends|findsman]]. [[General/Legends|General]] [[Airen Cracken/Legends|Airen Cracken]] had an opportunity to observe one of these ceremonies and admitted to finding it unsettling.
