The '''Imperial research station''' was a secret but much-rumored [[Galactic Empire/Legends|Imperial]] [[Space station/Legends|space station]]/[[Shadowport/Legends|Shadowport]] hidden in a pocket of open [[Realspace/Legends|space]] within the [[Itani Nebula/Legends|Itani Nebula]]. It was full of labs where scientists and weapons technicians studied local gases, magnetic storms, and [[Ion storm/Legends|ion storms]] to come up with new gas explosives and more powerful [[Ion cannon/Legends|ion weapons]]. The station was protected by a [[GAT-12 Skipray Blastboat]] and a hidden [[Mine/Legends|minefield]]. It was eventually destroyed by a [[Alliance to Restore the Republic/Legends|Rebel Alliance]] [[Strike Team]].
