The '''greddleback termite''' was a five-centimeter-long insect whose primary food source was the wood of a [[Hanava/Legends|hanava]] [[Tree/Legends|tree]]. Greddlebacks infested [[Bethal]] sometime during the [[Galactic Civil War/Legends|Galactic Civil War]] when they were accidentally imported to the planet in a cargo of [[hanava fruit]]. They quickly multiplied and roamed the southern continent of the planet in swarms comprising around six million termites each. While not dangerous to the population, the bugs proved a threat to Bethal's major export product, [[apoica tree]]s.
