The '''Galactic Congress''' was an assembly hosted by the [[Alliance to Restore the Republic/Legends|Rebel Alliance]] following the [[Battle of Endor/Legends|Battle of Endor]] to determine the fate of the post-[[Galactic Empire/Legends|Imperial]] [[Galaxy/Legends|galaxy]]. [[Han Solo/Legends|Han Solo]] and [[Chewbacca/Legends|Chewbacca]] invited the leaders of the world, [[Zhotta 3]] to attend.

[[Kaysil Verwood]] represented the [[Zabrak/Legends|Zabraks]] of [[Iridonia/Legends|Iridonia]] and its colony worlds during this congress.

Due to the nature of the storyline in [[Star Wars (Marvel Comics 1977)|Marvel Star Wars]] at this time, the Rebel heroes are going from world to world to invite planetary leaders to attend a diplomatic convention of worlds on the [[Endor/Legends|Forest Moon of Endor]]. Since other members that Solo visited, such as in [[Star Wars (1977) 85|''Star Wars'' (1977) 85]], were seen at the [[First Conference of Free Peoples]], it is very likely that the Galactic Congress mentioned in this issue is the same as that conference. As a result, it may be related to the [[Constitutional Convention]].

''[[The New Essential Guide to Alien Species]]'' mentions that [[Kaysil Verwood]] was the first representative to the "Galactic Caucus of the New Republic". This may be simply another name for this meeting of worlds.
