A '''beam gem''' was a hard to come by crystal that was usually found in [[Navigation computer/Legends|navigation computer]]. They came in at least two sizes, designated size 4 and 5. Wedging three into the barrel of a [[Blaster/Legends|blaster]] and altering the weapon's [[galven pattern]] allowed an individual to create a crude [[Beam splitter/Legends|beam splitter]].

Beam gems are also used in the construction of a [[Lightsaber/Legends|lightsaber]] [[Beam Gem lens|focusing lens]].{{Fact}}
