A '''skiff guard''' was a [[Mercenary/Legends|mercenary]] or [[Slavery/Legends|slave]] assigned to work on a [[Skiff/Legends|skiff]]. A skiff guard's duties included defending the skiff and keeping prisoners in line. Some skiff guards also acted as pilots.

[[Jabba Desilijic Tiure/Legends|Jabba the Hutt]] kept a contingent of skiff guards to operate his fleet of sand skiffs. This contingent consisted largely of [[Klatooinian/Legends|Klatooinians]], [[Nikto/Legends|Niktos]], and [[Weequay/Legends|Weequays]] including the individuals: [[Barada/Legends|Barada]], [[Brock Starsher/Legends|Brock Starsher]], [[Gailid]], [[Kithaba/Legends|Kithaba]], [[Klaatu/Legends|Klaatu]], [[Lathe/Legends|Lathe]], [[Pagetti Rook/Legends|Pagetti Rook]], [[Pote Snitkin/Legends|Pote Snitkin]], [[Vedain/Legends|Vedain]], [[Velken Tezeri/Legends|Velken Tezeri]], [[Wooof/Legends|Wooof]] and [[Yotts Orren]]. A number of other Human [[Unidentified Mercenary Pilot|individuals]] and [[Unidentified Weequay Skiff Master|three]] [[Unidentified Weequay marksman|Weequay]] [[Unidentified Weequay guard|individuals]] rounded out this complement of guards. They wore no special uniform and were armed with a motley assortment of weapons, including [[Vibro-ax/Legends|vibro-axes]], [[vibrostaves]], and [[DL-18 Blaster Pistol|DL-18 blaster pistols]]. All of these skiff guards fell victim to either the [[Sarlacc/Legends|Sarlacc]], or a faster and less painful death at the hands of Luke's [[Lightsaber/Legends|lightsaber]] during the attempted execution of [[Luke Skywalker/Legends|Luke Skywalker]], [[Han Solo/Legends|Han Solo]], and [[Chewbacca/Legends|Chewbacca]] at the [[Great Pit of Carkoon/Legends|Great Pit of Carkoon]].
